Why go on a motorcycle tour?

The greatest appeal of motorbike tours lies without a doubt in the combination of adventure, nature and freedom.

Pure Freedom

No other form of travel offers such independence. Spontaneous stops, new routes or exploring remote places – on a motorbike, anything becomes possible.

Immersive driving experience

Unlike in a car, riding a motorbike immerses you in your surroundings, allowing you to feel every bend and revel in picturesque views, breath in nature and lose yourself in the atmosphere.

Community & Passion

Whether alone or in a group, bikers  share a common passion that fosters community and exchange around the world.

How to plan your motorbike tour

Preparation is everything

Good planning is essential for a successful tour. When getting ready for your next adventure on two wheels keep the following in mind:

1. Route
2. Travel time
3. Eat & Sleep

1. Pick the right route

  • Look for varied road routes: winding country roads, mountain passes and panoramic routes offer pure driving pleasure.
  • Use special motorcycle route planners such as Kurviger.de or Calimoto, which give preference to winding routes.
  • Allow for daily stages of approx. 250–400 km, depending on your driving style and the length of your breaks.

2. The right time to travel

  • Spring and autumn are ideal for moderate temperatures, less traffic and breathtaking scenery.
  • Avoid routes with heavy traffic (e.g. Alpine passes in midsummer on weekends).

3. Where to unwind and dine

Our hotel is the ideal starting point for your motorbike tour – with a secure, frost-free underground car park where your bike will be well protected. Comfortable rooms, a hearty breakfast and, on request, packed lunches for on the road. Set off in the morning straight into the Alpine foothills and return in comfort in the evening.

Safety meets comfort

Solidequipment is essential – not only for your safety, but also for driving comfort:

Pick the right equipment

Helmet
Full-face helmets with good ventilation are ideal for longer tours.
Clothing
Motorcycle jacket and trousers with protectors, ideally waterproof or with a membrane.
Luggage system
Suitcase, tank bag or luggage roll – it all depends on the length of your tour and type of motorcycle.
Navigation
Motorcycle satnavs or smartphones with mounts and waterproof will help keeping you on track.
Test your gear
Before setting off, check your brakes, tyres, oil level and lights – don't hesitate to take a handful of spare parts or a small tool kit with you.
